This looks like it might be a “lottery machine” that only pretends to be video poker. The pay table doesn’t make sense to me as an American with a long history of playing the odds on true RNG based video poker. Are there laws against real video poker in the UK or something? Is your win or loss predetermined from when you hit “deal”? There are machines like that in the USA but I never play them - and with good reason. I understand your distaste for this machine.

Why do folk play these £5 jackpot machines?

Well, the machine itself is from the UK, but they changed it to the US firmware

I have discovered on this one some arcades set it to only numbers on winline count on the number trail, others set it so all numbers in view add to number trail. For some reason all numbers in view is worse than just numbers on winline. It takes longer for boards to come in and the bankers bonus seal too. Always use cash or bust on this one it's usually really good, and always take boost on this, it mounts up to Mega Streak in no time at all.

5 quid machines so boring

I came here yesterday to view the site and arcades. Ready for a long comment lol. Viking club, arcade gone, only have 3 claws, vending machine and pac man game in entrance. No fruits/tickets/ pushers etc. Inside bar they had 2 500 jackpot games. White Horse, still crap, full off claws, tickets, pushers, no £5 fruits. Only a small 18 area with all screen slots. Nothing special. Embassy, big difference. You have to enter it from the back now, the front entrance is pool, golf, gift shops etc. Viewed arcade and it's got smaller, pool tables and bowling gone. Loads off the latest VR games. Still has the usual ticket, claws and pushers. The small 18 area I thought was gone but they moved it but it's got even smaller, all screen game slots. They did still have a few £5 jackpot but nothing fun, they had it in a small area, 3 bingo machines, house of fortune, golden game (newer) party time, batman, Austin powers, elemental dragons and bullion bars. So all the fruits what all look alike basically, no single player slots and all the old slots like dond, old golden game and monopoly all gone. (No sign off the viking fruits anywhere either) lastly, the bigger 18 area is still there but its owned by admiral. Has the same usual crap as before, HOF, batman, bullion, bar x, pub fruits and all the 500 jackpot games, but still nothing special. I like what they have done to the place not gonna lie but it seem like all the games have been modernised and there is no old machines left. Even your favourite dance dance machine gone 🤣 lol and finally the small supermarket in the arcade in embassy is no longer and it's now a big prize ticket area. Anyway that's just a little update.
